“A lot of different flowers make a bouquet” ethos encouraged predecessors (Jana’s) of JEGS to diversify its business in early 1980s by setting up PCC Pole Factory in Belda (Undivided Midnapore) with Joint venture of Dalmia Group (Late Jagmohan Dalmia, the former ICC Chairman) while West Bengal Electricity Board planned to distribute its electric supply to its western part of rural areas.
Jana’s are among very limited supplier of WBSEB at those eras because of its pioneering business factory module of its kind. Almost it was the only factory to supply its products for almost 10 years (01 Decade) with achieving the target’s deadline to cover the entire western part of West-Bengal’s electrification in rural village in the time of new political regime’s vision to electrify the rural part of West-Bengal in starting 1980s.
Thus, the founder DJ of PCC Poll Factory became very significant business house in electrical distribution & energy production industries in West Bengal’s business chambers.
And decided to add one more flower in the bouquet with the continuity of diversifying journey in mid 80s with principal participation of IIT (Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur).
